Cara Kotschy

Managing Director & Co-Founder

Cara is a strategic and commercially minded business leader who’s worked in post production since 2003.

Her vision for Residence Pictures is to grow a company that’s diverse from the top down, with a progressive culture based on trust and disrupt the London post market with a fresh and visionary approach to content creation.
Prior to Residence Pictures, Cara spent ten years as Managing Director of Fifty Fifty Post Production where she led the Company through three major expansions, delivered strong margin s and was quick to devise and implement a bold three-year strategy to exploit the profitable market shift towards OTT platforms. She spent many years before that post producing both long and short-form projects.

A keen business woman with a view that when businesses become static they become stale, Cara leads from the front, strategising, learning and listening year on year.

Harriet Dale

Commercial Director & Co-Founder

One of the most experienced and sought-after drama professionals in the industry, Harriet has over 30 years experience in production and post production for both TV & Film. She started her career in short form production before moving to the drama department at the BBC where she spent 7 years as a Production Coordinatior and Production Manager. She then moved into Post Production as a Post Supervisor before joining St Anne’s Post, now part of Company 3, where she remained for 11 years as Head of Production.

Most recently Harriet was responsible for growing the scripted department at The Farm where she spent 6 years as Director of Scripted Sales, securing and post producing major episodic series including I May Destroy You, The Serpent, All Creatures Great and Small and The Split.

Paul Harrison

Colourist & Co-Founder

One of the world’s top colourists, Paul is one of the most recognised talents in the industry and has been continually ranked amongst the top three finishing artists in the UK throughout his career, frequently topping the Televisual best colourist polls as well as winning successive BTAA awards for best colourist.

On launching Residence Pictures, Paul has renewed his focus on grading premium long form content having spent much of the past decade establishing a highly acclaimed reputation in commercials.

Paul’s mix of commercial, feature and episodic credits has seen him build strong relationships with some of the industry’s leading Directors and Cinematographers including MJ Delaney, Shane Meadows, Guy Ritchie and Danny Cohen.

Paul started his career at The Mill, before moving onto MPC and then Freefolk where he established successful grading departments and a strong client base in both London and New York.

Julian Nelson

Head of Post & Co-Founder

Julian is a leading post production specialist and finishing artist. In his previous role as Head of Picture at Fifty Fifty Julian has spent many years crafting a strong reputation with clients, streamers and peers establishing practical and adaptive workflows through the entire picture process. A highly regarded Finishing Artist in his own right, Julian has worked directly on UHD HDR Dolby Vision finishing for OTT specials and episodics successfully delivering 36 original titles to Netflix as well as hundreds of hours of SDR content for studios, networks, streamers and broadcasters throughout his 19 year career in post.

Exacting and methodical, Julian’s remit as Head of Post is to work closely with clients, creatives, studios and manufacturers from pre-commission to deliver world beating content by crafting intelligent workflows using cutting edge technology.

Owen Hulme

Finishing Artist & Partner

One of the UK’s best recognised Online Editors, Owen has extensive experience finishing episodic series’ for major broadcasters and streamers.

He joined Residence Pictures from The Farm Group and has worked on ground-breaking programming including Utopia and more recently the Serpent and I May Destroy You which were both completed during lockdown posing unique challenges but with fantastic results.

Owen has worked in scripted drama for over 14 years and always puts the client first ensuring they leave happy and return to work with him time and again. He has developed close working relationships with leading directors including Shane Meadows, Hugo Blick, Marc Munden, Tom Shankland.

Owen enjoys offering clients a solution to any issue they have and the challenging himself with complex VFX shots.

David O’Callaghan

Executive Producer & Partner

Dave’s extensive career in post production has seen him work across multiple genres from fast turnaround productions including Strictly Come Dancing while at the BBC through to the the complex delivery of the first series of ‘Formula One – Drive to Survive’ a pioneering 50fps DoVi post workflow for Netflix and Ben Anthony’s compelling and moving feature documentary ‘Grenfell’ for BBC while at The Farm.

Most recently Dave has spent his time producing high-profile scripted series including Russell T Davies ‘Years and Years’ for BBC, Julian Fellowes Netflix Original ‘The English Game’, series 1 and 2 of Stephen Merchant’s ‘The Outlaws’, Darrall MacQueen’s BAFTA nominated children’s live action series ‘Lovely Little Farm’ for Apple TV+, and The Clarkson Twins British horror titled ‘Red Rose’ which aired on BBC and Netflix.

Dave is a passionate and methodical producer with a keen eye for detail and a sense of humour that will take the edge off any scheduling headache.

Vicki Matich

Colourist

With a career spanning two decades, Vicki has extensive experience grading an impressive roster of feature documentary and scripted titles for major streamers, broadcasters and for theatrical release.

Her journey into colour began at ABC Studios in her native Sydney where she discovered a scarcely used grading suite setting her on a path to become one of the industry’s leading female colourists.

On arrival in the UK Vicki primarily graded 16mm dailies for dramas. Most recently Vicki spent 4 years as Senior Colourist at Molinare. Her recent feature doc credits include ‘Einstein and the Bomb’, ‘The Deepest Breath’ both for Netflix and ‘Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story,’ produced by Misfits Entertainment and Passion Pictures, which had its world premiere and opened at Sundance this year. Her scripted credits include ‘Silent Witness’ series 27 & 28, ‘Ackley Bridge’, ‘Bloods,’ ‘Stath Lets Flats’ and ‘Ozi, Voice of the Forest,’ produced in collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and executive producer Mike Medavoy.
